I wanted to try something glass as I liked the idea of it being so smooth.
I wasn't disappointed at all. This is a fabulous toy and, unlike most plastic/silicone toys, it's really pretty too.
The ultra-smooth, cool feeling is really exciting and the slightly angles tip hits just the right spots. The wavy shape of the shaft feels lovely moving in and out or being wiggled around. It's a good weight too, which makes it feel all the nicer when it's doing its thing ;)
My partner really likes using this on me as well. It's completely non-threatening and not penis-shaped, which is a nice change.
We've tried cooling it under cold water, which was enough cold for me (I'm a wimp), but you could try it in the fridge/freezer for a seriously icy blast. I'm looking forward to trying it run under hotter water too to see what that's like.
I would seriously recommend this toy over anything made of silicone/plastic/etc. I'm a complete convert to glass now!
