Very Poor Sizing

I wanted something a little different to wear on a night out with my Husband. I normally go for lingerie, but thought these would be a nice surprise as I had planned to 'go commando' to allow for a bit of teasing when out and about.
They arrived the day after I ordered them, which I was delighted about, and I couldn't wait to try them on. The packaging is nice and simple and I was drawn to this particular pair of suspender tights because the sizing on Lovehoney's website states 8-16.
I am a size 12. I do have quite curvy hips, but even so, all my clothes are a size 12 and in many cases there's room to spare around the waist. I thought that I would have no issues with sizing, as I am two sizes smaller than the maximum size - I was WRONG!
I'm also 5'8" and the suspender tights would only go about two-thirds of the way up my thighs and were incredibly tight, causing all kinds of revolting bulges, which doesn't usually happen to me and made me feel very un-sexy. I couldn't pull the waistband of the tights any further and subsequently there was no way I could wear them.
I don't know who's to blame, but the sizing guideline is completely inaccurate and I feel very disappointed. I think you'd have to be a maximum of a size 10 to get away with wearing these. What a shame...
